Cheesesteak Salad

Prep time:  15 minutes
Cooking time:  10 minutes
Yields:  6 people

1 lb wafer-thin sliced minute steak from grass-fed beef, chopped
1/2 c raw swiss cheese
1 med sweet onion, sliced
1 c sliced baby bella mushrooms
Sea salt and pepper to taste
Garlic pepper to taste
Balsamic vinaigrette


Saute onions and mushrooms in olive oil until slightly caramelized. In a separate pan, brown the minute steak in a little olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic pepper. Add grated swiss cheese and heat through till melted.

Make a bed of baby greens on each plate. Evenly divide meat and cheese on each bed of greens. Top with onions and mushrooms, and a splash of vinaigrette.


This is by far the most satisfying main dish salad I have ever eaten!
